      SMART CUT™ technology

How SMART CUT ® Bond Works?

The sharpest and finest quality diamonds or CBN crystals that go into a SMART CUT Diamond Bond, immediately penetrate into the material, grinding and polishing as they cut.

Diamonds or CBN Crystals are activated only at the exposed layer. As Bond Matrix layer begin to wear out, diamonds in a new Bond Matrix layer are immediately activated, substituting the already used up diamond layer. The SMART CUT Diamond Hybrid Bond makes sure every diamond is in the right place and at the right time, working where you need it most.

The newly exposed diamonds don't effect diamonds already working on the material. Unlike many other diamond bonds, diamonds in a SMART CUT Hybrid Bond remains sharp and grow sharper with each cut, prolonging product life and consistent performance.

This advanced formulated open diamond bond design insures minimal chipping, fast cut, constant speed of cut, minimal cutting noise, and most important of all, consistent performance.

Find the Right Diamond Blade for your Application

Precision Diamond Blade by itself is perhaps the most important factor in your precision diamond dicing / sawing operation.

The diamonds impregnated inside the bond matrix of the diamond blade, are what actually participate in cutting action. No matter how precision or well made your saw. You will not be able to obtain the material surface finish, and precision tolerances you need, if the blade you are using is not right for your application.

UKAM Industrial Superhard Tools experience, precision manufacturing, modern quality control methods, allow us to control and regulate dozens of variables that affect diamond blade life, quality of cut, surface finish.

We will work with you to determine your needs, and recommend the Right Diamond Blade & Solution for your specific material / application.

High Quality Standards & Product Consistency

Not all Diamond Blades are created equalUKAM Industrial Superhard Tools uses only the highest  quality diamonds and raw materials in Diamond Blade manufacturing process. The highest quality standards and product consistency is maintained, using sophisticated inspection and measurement equipment. Our Diamond Blades are regularly used in demanding & mission critical applications.

      Why Use Cubic Boron Nitride?

Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) is a synthetic material that is renowned for its exceptional hardness and high thermal stability. machining ferrous materials such as hardened steels, cast iron, and superalloys. Its hardness and thermal stability make it highly effective in high-speed machining operations, where it can withstand the heat and pressures generated during cutting processes.

CBN is recommended for cutting had metals, specially iron and steel. Since carbon in steel reacts with carbon in diamond, quickly dulling the diamond crystal and slowing the material removal. CBN blades provide significantly reduced cutting times for tough, gummy materials, such as lead and titanium. However, CBN are not recommended for ceramics and other non metallic materials. These blades will provide precise cutting capability on difficult to cut samples/materials. These CBN blades will significantly reduce your cutting time on ferrous materials compared to conventional diamond wafering blades.
